IMMIGRATION EVALUATIONS
Immigration is challenging. I’m here to help.
IMMIGRATION INTERVIEWS & ASSESSMENTS
I offer clinical interviews and assessments to produce the best evidence to support your petition. I collaborate with immigration attorneys and, if you do not have an attorney, can refer you to a lawyer that is experienced in immigration issues.
Evaluations
I provide evaluations for:
Political Asylum Waivers: In the case of the need to flee a country due to oppression based on an identity, political affiliation, or religious belief. I have extensive knowledge related to the effects of identity based oppression and violence. Visas based on being trafficked to the US or being the victim of a crime while in the US when the victim is willing to cooperate with law enforcement in investigation. An assessment can document the extent of psychological harm done by the victimization.
Hardship Waivers: In the case that a US citizen will experience extreme difficulty and complications if a family member’s deportation occurs. When someone faces deportation, this can be a significant emotional and psychological hardship on their family (spouse, children, or elderly parents). A hardship evaluation done by a therapist, such as Tavi Hawn, LCSW-C, is designed to document and explain this hardship to immigration professionals.
Immigration Interviews & Assessments: Immigration is challenging, no matter the reasons behind it or the mix of emotions that come with starting life in a new country. I offer evaluations designed to provide comprehensive and compassionate support for immigration-related cases.
Trafficking or Crime Victim Visas: For those who have been trafficked or victimized while in the U.S. and are cooperating with law enforcement. Assessments document the psychological harm caused by these experiences.
When someone is facing deportation, the emotional toll on their family can be profound. My evaluations, such as hardship assessments, are tailored to clearly communicate these impacts to immigration professionals.
I work collaboratively with immigration attorneys and can refer you to an experienced lawyer if needed. Evaluations are typically completed within 2-3 weeks of our final interview, ensuring you have timely and thorough documentation to support your petition. I accept payments via credit cards, health savings accounts (HSA), flexible spending accounts (FSA), and self-employed clients may sometimes write off my services as professional expenses.
