Tavi Hawn Therapy
AFFIRMING PSYCHOTHERAPY SERVICES IN NORTH CAROLINA & MARYLAND
At Tavi Hawn Therapy, I incorporate creative expression, movement, music, and nature for those interested in weaving these elements into their therapeutic journey. I also offer connections and referrals to various types of healers and providers who can complement our therapy work. My approach is trauma-informed and rooted in a liberatory framework. I’m real, authentic, affirming, and continuously engaged in learning and growth to bring the best care to my clients.
I have experience working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, ethnicities, sexual orientations, relationship structures, gender identities, and expressions. You can bring your whole self into our space and therapy process.
Many of my clients choose to work with me for years, finding trusted support through life’s frequent changes and challenges while engaging in deeper healing work.
You may also want to work with me in my coaching practice on a time limited topic, co-create a personalized retreat for you, or participate in a holistic healing intensive. Visit me at Emerge Brave Coaching to learn more.

OUR AFFIRMING THERAPISTS IN BALTIMORE
MEET YOUR THERAPIST, TAVI HAWN
I hold a Master’s Degree in Theological Studies and a Master’s of Social Work from the University of Washington in Seattle. In addition to guiding my practice, I also serve as faculty for the Indian Country Transgender ECHO project. The best part of my work is celebrating growth and witnessing courage as people create the kind of lives and spaces they’ve been hoping for. People tell me they love laughing with me and say I have a way of being direct without making things awkward.
I am a non-binary, trans, and Two Spirit person with Tsalagi (Cherokee), Irish, Scottish, and West and Central African roots. My gender expression varies, and my pronouns are they/them. In my free time, I enjoy reading, dancing, hiking, growing food and medicines, traveling, playing drums, hugging my elders, and eating.
I’m a Southern lover of books, music, a child named Waya, and a spirit dog named Scully. I’m a co-founder of QORDS, a nonprofit summer camp for queer and transgender youth and youth of LGBTQ+ families.
Training, Consulting, & Presenting: I offer public speaking and training on gender identity and intersectional DEI topics, focusing on affirming care for gender-expansive individuals and LGBTQIA+ communities. My coaching practice, Emerge Brave Coaching, provides consultation and supervision to therapists, educators, and healthcare professionals to improve access to anti-racist, trans-affirming care.
Neurodiversity Affirmative: Neurodiversity is not pathology that needs to be fixed. I embrace and celebrate the range of human experiences. You’re the expert on your life and your goals for yourself.
